This course is designed to enhance existing teaching skills or support personal practice. Throughout the module, you will explore a range of advanced postures and techniques.
This module is designed for qualified yoga teachers who want to expand their teaching repertoire with more advanced postures and transitions, as well as dedicated practitioners who would like to deepen their understanding of challenging poses. Please note: completing this module does not qualify you to teach yoga unless you already hold a recognised 200-hour yoga teacher training qualification. This course is designed to enhance existing teaching skills or support personal practice.
Yes. You should have a regular yoga practice and feel ready to explore more challenging postures and transitions. There is no expectation that you can already perform advanced poses. This module is designed to help you understand the foundations, strength, mobility, alignment, and progressions needed to work towards them safely and confidently. Whether you are taking your first steps towards arm balances and inversions or looking to refine existing skills, you will be guided through each posture step by step.
Yes, this module contributes toward your 300‑hour certification where applicable.

Take your practice beyond the foundations and explore the strength, mobility, technique, and confidence required for some of yoga’s most challenging postures. In this exciting Advanced Asana module, Laura and Mark will guide you through the step-by-step process of building towards a range of arm balances, inversions, binds, and advanced transitions, helping you understand not only how to practise them safely, but how to teach them effectively.

Throughout the course, you will explore postures including;


Headstand
Tripod Headstand
Crow
Side Crow
Eight-Angle Pose
Bird of Paradise
Grasshopper
Dragonfly
Handstand
Forearm Stand
and a variety of advanced binds and transitions.

You will learn preparatory drills, strength-building techniques, mobility requirements, common challenges, modifications, and teaching methodologies that make these poses accessible and achievable.


The module culminates in bringing these postures together within creative Vinyasa flow sequences, giving you the tools to intelligently weave advanced asana into your classes and personal practice. Whether your goal is to deepen your own understanding of yoga or expand your teaching repertoire, this course will challenge, inspire, and empower you to take your practice to the next level.
