COVID MEASURES AT SOUL SANCTUARY:
Since reopening our studio doors, we have implemented appropriate measures to keep staff and members safe, following government guidelines and resources. All classes in the studio have a capped capacity, to ensure that the appropriate social distancing may be upheld coming into the studio, and practicing safely between mats. All clients are required to have filled out our Health Declaration Form once, before entering the studio since lockdown. Clients will not be allowed inside unless the Health Declaration form is completed. This is found in all booking and purchase emails, and on the website. It is also released in newsletters to our mailing list. Clients must wear a mask in the studio, which can be removed when arrived on yoga mat. Please help us reduce overall waste by bringing a reusable mask – if a mask is forgotten, disposable masks are provided by the front door to be worn. If you are exempt from wearing a mask, proof of evidence must be emailed to email@example.com before your first visit back since lockdown, and the account profile will be updated. Or, clients must bring proof of evidence to each class they attend. Failure to follow our studio procedures and refusal to wear a mask means clients cannot practice in the studio. All clients must use antibacterial on their hand on entry and exit, by the studio door. Clients must bring their own mat & props, the studio will not be providing any equipment and clients will not be allowed to practice without a mat. All shoes are to be left in the lockers outside the studio, and socks are to be worn to and from the mat. All doors are kept open during class for airflow. Clients are encouraged to bring extra layers if needed, but reduced belongings where possible. There will be no contact or assisting from the teacher. The teacher will be waiting outside the studio for clients to arrive, and then come in last onto their mat by the door. Communal area closed, and use of toilet if only absolutely necessary. There are 30 minutes intervals between classes to ensure safe socially distanced entry & exit, and touch points are sanitised between each class. Clients must abide by studio procedures & policies, keep socially distanced, wash hands regularly. If you have flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms you will not be allowed to practice in the studio for 14 days.
All classes on the schedule are also live streamed, for those who can’t make it into the studio to still virtually ‘attend’. There are two options when booking – one for ‘studio’ and one for ‘online’. By booking into the online option, you will receive a link via email to join the live stream. There is a £5 late cancellation/ no show charge for classes in the studio, due to capped capacity and waitlisting. There is no entry allowed to the studio once class has started. There is no late cancel charge for those practicing online.
KEY POINTS FOR IN THE STUDIO:
- Must have filled out the Health Declaration Form before attending the studio. This only needs to be done once.

Online subscriptions are a rolling monthly payment and can be cancelled at any time. It is advisable for clients when practising out of the studio to take the required measures to ensure that the environment they are practising in is safe. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they are capable of undergoing a routine of exercises provided by any programme that they follow or class that they attend. Clients accept the risk of injury from performing exercises and are advised to consult their doctor prior to beginning any programme or class. Soul Sanctuary takes no responsibility for any injuries that occur before, during or after live or prerecorded classes. Subscriptions automatically renew for the subscription period until you cancel. To pause or cancel a subscription, visit your account settings or email email@example.com. Your changes will be applied to your next subscription period. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by the applicable Producer.
Payment for all classes must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled class date to ensure your place. If you cancel your space in class before 6 hours from class start time you will not incur a cancellation charge. If you cancel your space within 6 hours of the class start time, is considered a ‘late cancel’. Late cancels incur a cancellation fee of £5.00 to your account, this can take up to 72-hours to be processed after class. This is to ensure that students who are on the waiting list have a chance to get to class and to prevent block booking without attendance. If you have put yourself on the waiting list, it is your responsibility to check if you are added into class.
We ask that students arrive 5-10 minutes before class start time. If you arrive after the class start time please do not come into the classroom. We aim to promote respect for our students by starting and ending class on time and respect for teachers by arriving in time. Lateness results in a late cancel charge as stated above.
Please prepare yourself before class – bring a towel, water, or anything else you need so that once you are comfortable on your mat you can stay for the duration. Entering or leaving is disruptive to fellow students’ practice.
Block booking is prohibited – you will only be able to book up to 2 weeks in advance to ensure new students are able to attend class.
Soul Sanctuary teachers may cover each other’s classes. No refunds will be given due to change of instructor.
At times, Soul Sanctuary studio may close or classes may be rescheduled or cancelled due to community members taking priority using the space, or if Soul Sanctuary teachers are on training, retreat or unavailable. No refunds will be offered for class change or cancellation. Depending on the duration of studio closure, a discounted monthly rate may be offered at Soul Sanctuary’s discretion, in this case members would be notified accordingly.
Private classes last for 45 minutes and are deemed non-refundable if cancelled within 12 hours of class start time. We offer 1x Private class for £60 at Spetchley, or £50 if it’s at your home or online via Zoom, or an option of 5x Private classes with a 10% discount off the total.
Workshops are non-refundable and payment cannot be exchanged for other classes. Workshops apply to either in-person or live-streamed sessions, depending on the content.
Soul Sanctuary Retreats vary in frequency, length and location. Prices vary due to location, retreat content, food, organisation and admin. Retreat bookings are non-refundable once purchased.
Offers may be given mid-month, no discount or refunds will be available for those who have purchased membership at original price.
If you think you may be pregnant it is important that you email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know, all information will be confidential, but this allows us to direct you to Pregnancy Yoga appropriate classes and ensures you are safe in class. It is not recommended to practice yoga before 13 weeks. We are able to freeze your account during pregnancy but we do not offer refunds for the remainder of the month. We discourage and do not take responsibility for those who are pregnant and choose to attend non-pregnancy yoga classes. Only pregnancy yoga classes offer the time and attention required to ensure you and your baby are safe. Please get in touch with email@example.com to join our pregnancy classes.
YOUTH AND KIDS YOGA
We run kids & youth yoga throughout the year, as well as ‘Family Workshops’ where parent and child can experience yoga together – please see our ‘Workshops’ on our App or ‘Events’ on our website to book in. Under 13’s are welcome to join regular classes with a supervising adult, once the Youth Waiver has been returned. We do not recommend that 8 years and below attend adult classes, please see kids yoga and family workshops instead. If a child is not participating in class, they cannot be left unsupervised in the studio. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to check that the class is suitable for your child, the 90 minute classes are physically & mentally challenging… Please email email@example.com to complete the Youth Waiver form before your child attends class.
Please note we do not allow children to wait unsupervised outside of class or in the cafe.
The ‘late cancel’ charge also applies to Kids Yoga classes.
How do the ‘INTRO offers’ work?
Intro Offers are for NEW students only, to help them see how much yoga they can fit into their week – this will then inform which membership suits them best! The offer will run from the date of your first visit onwards for 14 days. Our Intro Offers are only for NEW students who have not visited the studio before. If you have already been to our classes you will not be able to purchase the Introductory pass on your account. We are able to track accounts which need to be merged, so please note if you create a second account for this offer you will be charged for a month of Gold membership at £68, which offers the same access to class.
What counts for pension/ retired/ unwaged/ STUDENT documentation?
Any authentic documentation which is evidential of you being categorised as one of the above.
What is the difference between the memberships options?
Please see all info on classes and membership here.
Can I carry my Silver passes over?
No, a Silver membership entitles you to 2 classes/week which cannot be carried over (this may appear as 10 passes maximum for the 5 week months, but is not indicative of a 10 class pass). This is a Membership, not a Class Pass – we do offer a Class Pass of 5 classes which can be used over 2 months at your leisure. Our Memberships are designed to create commitment and routine for our members, whereas the 5 Class Pass offers flexibility and freedom of attendance. We have seen in the past, if we don’t make our Memberships weekly, students tend to get out of their regular weekly practice and end up cramming classes at the end of the month. This is a problem with class capacity, and means student’s practices becomes monthly rather than weekly. This is also applicable to our Bronze Membership.
I have a monthly membership so why can’t I book into class?
Usually this is because you have exceeded the amount of classes that your membership allows that week – this includes waitlists. It could also be because you have debt on your account above £20 and so your account may be blocked. See steps below to pay off account debt.
Can I pause my membership for holiday?
We cannot ‘pause’ memberships for any other reason than medical reasons. Memberships are 3-month contracts – you would need to wait until the 3rd month after your most recent payment and then request to cancel your contract. You cannot simply remove your card from the account as the charge will accumulate as debt on your account. If you do not want to be tied into a 3-monthly contract (which offers the discounted class rate), a class pass is available at a slightly higher class rate.
Can I pause my membership for illness/injury?
If you have a signed doctors note that you can share with us you can cancel your membership and restart the membership when you are ready to come back to class. Memberships can only be renewed 3-monthly, you will not be refunded mid month as stated in T&C’s online and at point of purchase. You cannot ‘pause’ your membership for illness, injury, holiday or any other reason without medical signature.
Can I practice yoga if I have a bad back?
Please seek advice from your doctor to see whether you should be practicing yoga. If you are told that it will be helpful for your injury by a medical professional we can help you modify in class, but we are not responsible if you decide to practice in class under injury.
Should I practice yoga if I have a cold/flu/bug?
We do ask that if you are sick you take rest. It is usually your bodies way of asking you to rest, and we want to avoid making other students ill in the studio and spread the illness further.
If I have a heart/cardiovascular condition what do I do?
Please seek advice from your doctor to see whether you should be practicing yoga. If you have any current or history of heart or cardiovascular conditions it is your responsibility to let us know, and to share a letter of consent to practice yoga signed by your doctor.
