The Subtle Body

Whilst anatomy helps us understand the physical body, the subtle body offers a framework for understanding our energetic, emotional and psychological experience. For thousands of years, yogic traditions have explored the unseen aspects of human experience through concepts such as the chakras, koshas, nadis, vayus and prana. This module provides an opportunity to explore these teachings in depth, examining both their traditional roots and their relevance within modern yoga practice.
This module is designed for qualified yoga teachers who have completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and wish to deepen their understanding of the subtle body as part of their 300-hour advanced training. However, non-teachers are also very welcome to attend if they have a personal interest in exploring the energetic and philosophical dimensions of yoga. Whether you approach these teachings from a spiritual, symbolic or self-development perspective, this module offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of one of yoga’s most fascinating areas of study. Please note that whilst non-teachers may attend for their own learning and personal development, completion of this module alone does not qualify you to teach yoga. To teach yoga professionally, you must first complete a recognised 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training qualification
Do I need prior experience?
Yes, this module contributes toward your 300‑hour certification where applicable.
